Youth Challenge Human Rights in the Classroom

Youth Challenge is a human rights education program developed by the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission. It is designed to educate school students about human rights and responsibilities through role-plays, guided activities, surveys, personal stories and prompted questions for discussion.

This site is designed to give you some of that information. It will answer some common questions about human rights; step you through the history of human rights; look at the United Nations and its most important creation, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; shine some light on important children's issues; and give you some links so you can explore further afield. You can also get information about HREOC's Youth Challenge program here.
